The wedding will take place in Næstved, Denmark. The city is located in the southern part of Zealand (Sjælland) island, an hour's drive southwest of Copenhagen. Copenhagen airport is Scandinavia's main hub. It is well connected by the Danish railway system and it takes approximately 1.5 hours and one change from the airport to Næstved station by train. All major international rental car companies have a desk at the airport. From Hamburg Næstved can best be reached via the Puttgarden-Rødby ferry and from Berlin via the Rostock-Gedser ferry. Næstved is among the oldest towns in the country and was one of the largest Danish towns in the Middle Ages. Today it has approximately 40,000 inhabitants and is thus one of the larger Danish provincial towns.
